10:26 pm - Farewell, My Dearest Friend
This morning, I bid farewell forever to my dearest friend in the entire world. He passed on some time between 8 and 9 am CST. I rarely dream; but, this morning I awoke from a dream in which he visited me, rested his head upon my thigh and looked up at me with those piercing, golden eyes. I stroked his furry head in my dream and only a moment later, I woke up feeling the loss of him. When I got home from my mother's house, I found him curled up as if he were simply sleeping in the bathroom floor. So, I know he passed peacefully. I doesn't lessen the hurt of losing him but, it eases the pain to think that he left this world peacefully. I know he was a dog but, he was part of my family. I will miss his quiet presence in my life. I'll miss his grumblings and his joy at going for a ride. I've heard that animals don't have souls but, I just can't believe that. I hope he's rambling, youthfully and happily through forested hills and rolling in green fields in a place where he'll never feel pain again.
Bandit, my dear, dear friend, I hope to find you waiting for me when my time here is through. Until then, peace be with you. Farewell.

3:24 pm - Vroooooooooooooooooooooom!
Look out and get off of the sidewalks, folks. Syn's got her own set of wheels again! Yippee!!!
Yeah, it's been 6 months but, I finally got to get myself a car.. and I think this one's gonna be pretty good. It's a 98 Chevy Lumina, forest green with tan interior. Unfortunately, there isn't a radio (luckily, I have one lying around here somewhere) and the windshield will have to be replaced (probably by income tax time next year). The engine and transmission appear to be sound (Yes, I ran the hell out of it in the test drive and I did pop the hood for a peek underneath). It also has fairly new tires on it.. I got it for $3000. The state tax on it is gonna be $280 and some change but, I don't think that's really a bad deal. I've had several friends who have had Lumina's and none of them ever had much trouble out of them. It handles good, it sounds good, it rides really good.. I hope that it's not too good to be true.
At any rate, there will be no more relying on others to get where I need to be. I am so jazzed!
Oh, and thanks to trappedinice for getting me around to the dealership where I bought the car.

3:31 pm - Whooped...
I just spent approximately 30 minutes shy of 20 hours at work. On the clock. Working my tail off. I am exhausted yet, surprisingly, I am not able to sleep just yet. It'll take me at least 30 minutes before I can settle down and go to sleep. Time to call a certain someone so I can hear his voice before I sleep.
Happy Valentine's Day tomorrow for those of you that I won't get to say it to in person.

11:45 pm - Merry Freakin' Christmas!!!
I mean it. :)
I hope that everyone's having a great holiday this year.
I'm spending this one with my mom, my children, my dog and her two cats. It's been interesting thus far and pretty good aside from the fact that my mom lost her favorite ring yesterday and I'm still unemployed... but, we're not letting that get us too far down. All in all, we're getting a good dose of what this season is really all about.
I hope that every one of my friends gets to have the same wonderful sort of season.
